Ayurveda that shows you its sources.

Ask about herbs, food and daily routine. Every answer tells you where it came from, how strong the evidence actually is, and when the honest response is to see a doctor instead.

Sidora is being built and is not open to the public yet. Everything on this page describes what it will do at launch, not what you can use today.

Honesty

If only health were as simple as following a trend.

Most wellness apps sound certain because certainty converts.

We would rather tell you what we do not know.

There is no single answer, but there is a traceable one.

What makes it different

Four things the others skip.

01

Cited answers

Responses are built from a curated source set with the chapter and verse attached — not improvised from a model's memory. When we have nothing relevant, the answer says exactly that.

02

Evidence labels

Every claim is marked: stated in a classical text, supported by human trials, common practice with no formal evidence, or genuinely uncertain. The weak ones stay marked weak.

03

A real safety layer

Rules and lookups that run after the answer is written and can override it. Not a model marking its own homework, and no setting anywhere turns it off.

04

Constitution, properly modelled

Your prakriti is stable and versioned. Your current state changes and is tracked separately. Collapsing the two into one dosha number is the mistake everyone else makes.

Our position

We do not replace your doctor, and we do not pretend Ayurveda does either. Sidora explains, cites and checks — so that what you bring to a practitioner is better informed, not more confused.

Why this exists

Built because the alternatives were confident and wrong.

There is no shortage of Ayurveda chatbots. Ask one about chest pain and it will suggest a herbal remedy, because nothing in it knows the difference between a question about digestion and a question about a heart attack.

Sidora is built by a small team in Pune that also writes software for hospitals and insurers. That work sets the standard here: a claim needs a source, data comes from cited references entered by a person, and the system knows the boundary of what it should answer.

We are early. This page is a waitlist, not a product tour.

How it will work

Three steps, no jargon.

  1. 01

    Find your constitution

Fifteen plain questions about how your body and mind usually behave. About three minutes, nothing to look up, and a result you can actually read.

  2. 02

Ask what you actually want to know

What to eat this season, what a herb is traditionally used for, what a sensible daily routine looks like — answered against your constitution and the time of year.

  3. 03

    Checked against your medicines

Add what you already take. Any answer mentioning a herb that interacts with it is flagged automatically. You never have to remember to open a separate checker.

The hard line

What it will never do.

A wellness chatbot that hands a herbal routine to someone describing a heart attack is not a small bug. These are not settings. There is no version of Sidora without them.

It stops for red flags

Chest pain, breathing trouble, sudden weakness or confusion, bleeding, a lethargic infant. It does not answer the Ayurvedic question. It says plainly that this needs urgent care.

It never says stop your medicine

Under any phrasing, including asking directly. Ayurveda alongside your treatment is a conversation with your doctor, not with an app.

It warns about heavy metals

Bhasma and rasa preparations can carry lead and mercury, and testing has repeatedly found high levels in Ayurvedic supplements. The warning cannot be suppressed.

It does not diagnose or promise cures

No naming your disease, no claim to treat one, no dosage invented from nothing. Interaction data is entered by a human from cited references — never generated.

Languages

In the language you think in.

English and Hindi at launch, with Marathi, Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada to follow. Being genuinely good in a language nobody else serves properly matters more than being the tenth decent option in English.

Dashed languages are on the roadmap, not available yet.

What it costs

Free while we build it.

The constitution assessment and everyday guidance are free. We have not set prices beyond that, and we would rather say so than print a table we cannot stand behind yet. If we charge for something later, we will explain what and why in plain words.

No card, no trial that quietly becomes a subscription.

Questions

Your questions, answered.

Is this a replacement for a vaidya or a doctor?

No, and it is built not to be. It explains, cites and checks. It does not diagnose, prescribe or treat. For anything about your health, see a registered practitioner — and Sidora will tell you when that is urgent.

Where do the answers come from?

A curated source set we control and can show you, with the location in the text attached to each claim. Modern translations of classical texts are copyrighted, so we use only material that is public domain or properly licensed.

Is the advice medically certified?

No. Sidora provides general educational information about Ayurveda, not medical advice, and it is not a licensed medical device. That is precisely why the safety layer exists and why every claim carries its evidence strength.

What happens to my health information?

Health context is sensitive personal data under the DPDP Act and we treat it that way. Consent is explicit, purpose-limited and revocable, and deleting your data actually deletes it. The full privacy policy ships with the app in English and Hindi.

When does it open?

We are soft-launching to a small group first so we can talk to everyone using it. The waitlist is how you get in, and we will email you rather than announce it and hope you notice.

Be there when it opens.

Leave your email and we will get in touch when the first group goes in.
